My corn snake is about to shed.
In five weeks, I'm going to have a party and and would very much like my friends to see the snake freshly-shedded. Can I safely (emphasis on the word 'safely') do anything to accelerate his next shedding cycle? Would feeding him a little more, or raising the temperature of his tank, do anything?

I kind of hate to admit it, but I've got a nice pair of red boa boots. And a pair of green lizardskin of some sort.

Is that a yes or a no?

I think it was a "no, you shouldn't do something which could jeopardize your snake's health in order to impress your friends."
I keep track of my snake's sheds and while there are a LOT of variables involved, nothing I've done seems to affect the shedding process (food, temps/humidity, photoperiod, etc). He pretty much sheds when he feels like it.
My suggestion would be to take some pics immediately after he sheds and show THOSE to your friends. "No, really, he's usually much more colorful!" Emotion: smile

If the animals aren't wc, but raised for the purpose to become shoes and handbags, and euthanized humanly, there's nothing to feel guilty about.

My original post asked if I could SAFELY do anything. I wouldn't want to put the little guy at risk but I thought if an extra mouse a week..
