What vision do dogs have - color or black and white? And why? I also wonder if their night vision is sharper than that of cats. Thanks. Emotion: smile
Hi anon

Most scientists think that dogs are colour-blind. But this is difficult to believe in because many dogs see very well in both daytime and nightime. Today, there are actually no proofs that dogs have color vision, as well as there are no proofs for the opposite. If they have black and white vision, they must distinguish really a lot of shades of B&W. Some think that dogs have partly colour vision, ie they don't distinguish green from red. But no proofs, again.
I also think so.
