No, it is not true. Pugs shed a lot. Their fur consists of both 1) long tough guard hair and 2) soft, fluffy undercoat. Usually the length of the hair is about 2 cm, although it can be more. Do not believe those who say pugs do not shed - probably the only aim of these people is to sell you a dog. They don't tell you the whole truth.
