Hi can anybody say what's wrong with my dog? I have a Rottweiler, male, 7 years old. It started 3 days ago. Every time we go out for a walk, he starts looking up and shivering. The wether is fine, neither rain nor thunder nor anything that could cause this behaviour. He looks very anxious at home too. Has anybody experienced anything similar? Rick
Hiya what a strange case...

Do you live anywhere near an airport? Or are you in a flight path? It could be that he's heard a plane or a jet going past and it has scared him.
Hey Rick, maybe your dog has had some stress lately?
He feels slightly better now, shivering's coming to naught little by little. Thanks for your replies. He didn't have any stress lately, I think so, and we dont live near an airport or a flight pass. I have no idea if it has something to do with the problem but a few days ago my dad went for a business trip. I can assume our dog's missing him? Dad in back in 4 days so I hope Gary (our dog) will be fine by that time. Rick

Is your dad the 'top dog'? Does he spend most of the time with your dog and feed/water him etc.? If yes then it is possible he suffering SA from being apart from him Emotion: smile
Ye, my dad spends a lot of time with him, but I thought I was as much inportant for Gary. )) I hope that was the reason! What's SA, by the way? Rick

Your dog will bond with everyone in the family but it usually has one person who they see as the leader, the food giver and the protector.

SA = Separation Anxiety Emotion: smile Your dog is probably feeling a touch as this as he can't understand where your dad has gone.
Any update about your dog, Rick? How's he now?
