Can anyone help me? My cocker x collie dog will not sleep in the new "petmate" kennel I've bought for her! She had two other wooden kennels previously which she had no problem sleeping in but with this one she doesn't seem to want to go in at all!!!
Any suggestions?

The plastic may smell funny to her. The first thing I'd do is feed all of her meals in the back of the crate. Once she begins to associate the crate with good things, she'll be more willing to go into it.
Are you wanting her to choose to use the crate on her own? There are no guarantees that she'll ever prefer the new crate as her primary sleeping spot.

Some plastics give off fumes and if it is doing that it may make her nose and head hurt. Try washing it out real well with a mild cleaner, make sure it is rinsed well and dread out in the sun. Also make sure she can not get to the cleaning agent you use to prevent poisoning her. To make it even more attractive put wood chips in the bottom. Nothing will make her understand it's her den if it doesn't smell like her den.
