Is "Baxter" a Boston Terrier or a French Bulldog?

If it's the commercial I am thinking of, he is a Boston Terrier.

It's the one with the woman walking the dog on a city street while sneezing like crazy with tissues in one hand. The dog runs off into the park in the end after giving the woman a curious look. The BT/FB faces are so similar, but (after seeing it again just now) the legs were too long I think for a FB.

BT it is. Thanks for the reply.

yep, and a damned cute one, too. i need an insulin shot every time i see that commercial. i *do* wish they didn't have him straining at his leash, though.

Surely you are not insinuating that there is an ugly Boston..?? For Shame!

Yeah, I know. (But that completes the picture of him not wanting to be near his allergy-ridden owner!)

of course not! all Bostons are cute, but some are ****. Baxter is crazy-cute.
Yeah, I know. (But that completes the picture of him not wanting to be near his allergy-ridden owner!)

true. i'll try to look at it in that light.

When I found out that ELB had acquired a Boston, the first thing I said is if he really wanted a cute little dog, why didn't he get himself a Pug? I wuv Pugz, and think they're the most adorablest things. Bostons OTOH are little bug eyed freaks.

I hated that commercial. Just didn't seem very well put together.

Heh. I'm not getting in their way. Besides, how can you say no to that face?

exactly. the irresistible Eeevil Pugg face is part of their Assimilation arsenal.
I stand by what I said. I'm always right.

are not!
You'd think some people would've learned some things by now.

you don't know much about 5yos, do you?
Nope. And for the life of me, I can't figure out why I feel that way. The Bostons look like the Monster squeakies the dogs play with, but the Pugz don't.

i think the appeal, for me, is that they look like miniature Oreo-flavored Boxers.
Maybe it's the pointy ears.

i admit that pointy ears take some getting used to. floppy ears are simply superior to pointy. however, after falling head over heels in love with Frenchies, Boston ears don't even tweak my "weird looking dog" meter.

weirdo.
you're in good company though, Lola doesn't like them either. she says they're too rough for her to play with. apparently pugs aren't as mean.

Manu, OTOH, thinks they'd both make a nice lunch.
