This morning my dog ate chicken poop by accident (lack of supervision, my bad). Is it dangerous and is there anything important I should do?

If the chickens carried bacteria such as salmonella or campylobacter, your dog can get sick and become contagious to people. Otherwise there is no danger and you should not worry. There are no known parasites that can be spread via chicken poop. Just watch your dog's condition, and if there is diarrhea for more than 1-2 days, visit a vet.

Yes. Chickens can carry parasites. coccidia.

Hey my dog is not feeling well at all he is moaning and keeps looking towards his rear .. or testicle area .. and we have chickens and i think .. well im pretty sure he ate chicken poop. and he threw up and is acting funny . what do i do?

My dog eats dog poo on a regular basis , he has never been sick and neither have I , so it’s good to see this sight because I didn’t know it can be possible. I don’t encourage my dog to eat it but I don’t pen my chicken and I can’t follow my dog around all day , I’ve seen him eat quite a few times but then he is one of those dogs where nothing seems to bother him , so I’m not here to give an opinion just my personal story with my dog and chicken poo and the fact that he eats it regularly and never gets ill . Thanks
