I have a min pin who will not stop licking my other dog's ears. He is a jindo.
I've taken the jindo to the vet and got medicine and ointment for an ear infection. For awhile my min pin wasn't licking his buddy's ear, at least not in front of me. When the medication first started I noticed he would sniff his pal's ear and then walk away. It's been 4 months of ointment treatment and I've noticed the min pin is definitely back to the ear licking.
Is there anything I can do to stop this? Will this ear licking cause any damage? Is there a serious consequence for my jindo's ears?

Thank you so much in advance!

Erm, have you tried telling the minpin to stop?

FWIW- my JRT loves to groom anyone who will sit still for her, species immaterial, and particularly likes to wash out the insides of my lurcher's ears. My vet cautioned me that it could lead to ear infections if she did it to excess.
It's never gotten to be an issue because the lurcher won't sit still for her for more than a minute or so.
