Hi, good day!Emotion: smile
Do you have good ideas about how to remove dogs' tear stains? My puppy has really terrible stains!Emotion: crying

I've tried several methods like cleaning her eyes everyday, using medicines, changing dog food~etc.

Cheers

The reason of tear stains is excessive tearing. So you must find out why your dog has excessive tearing, Dinosaur, and cure it. Otherwise, the problem can always be there if you try to get rid of the consequence and not the reason.
Excessive tearing can be caused by genetic limitations - as Onyx has mentioned, - but also by health problems, fleas, bacterial infection, irritation, bad food or water (it's high mineralization), blocked tear ducts, etc.

Only a vet can determine the true reason, and then prescribe a right cure. Before that, you should keep the eye area clean on a daily basis to prevent any problmes such as an infection.
By the way, the stains you can see are caused by red yeast bacteria... in case you're interested.

I have to wipe my mastiffs eyes several times every day but because she is short haired she does not get the tear stains. Just keep bathing her eyes with lukewarm water that's all you can do really Emotion: smile

Hey Dinosaur!

I think it's rather individual. It probably depends on the breed. For instance, I have Samoyed (as you may notice) that never had any tear stains
How lucky you areEmotion: smile

My puppy's stains really affect her beauty and make her a little bit stinky Emotion: crying

a friend of mine has a maltipoo and i know they were told to give the puppy distilled water only. they've been having the puppy for about 3 months and my friend says he has very little tear stains. so distilled water may help too....
A lot of common dog food ingredients can cause tearing and staining as a result. What food do you give to your dog? What have you tried?

I give her dog food. Sometimes make chickens mixed with cabbage without saltsEmotion: smile

I've tried cleaning, medicine, changing another brand dog food.

But not effective. I ever cut those dirty furs, but now it is terrible againEmotion: sad
