Very good work, Mary. I'm sure the little ones will have happy lives now. There will probably be a lot of people wanting to adopt them.

This has been an exciting day one where we went from an almost-certain death sentence for two little blind kittens to one where a promise hasbeen made that they will not be euthanized.[/nq]Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. I'll keep you updated on the progress. One thing I should mention is that the person who put in all the real work on behalf of the two kittens is the woman who first contacted me. She works with our local O'Malley Alley Cats organization, and she puts in an incredible number of hours locating and screening forever homes and foster homes. These kittens were at the animal shelter (which also serves as county animal control) because they were trapped by shelter personnel, but O'Malley's works closely with the shelter.

From there, the story progressed as I described it. I was incredibly happy with the results (and will be even happier when we find a home for the kittens), but my role was a very small one. Of course, I am also the immensely proud slave to Duffy and Holly, so I had to report on Duffy's part in all this.

What a great service.. Duffy sure was destined for big things! I have told many people about him...

Yay for you and the kitties, Mary! You did a great thing, and Duffy deserves a gourmet treat, probably 10 (he paid me to say that...). Emotion: smile

So that's why Duffy doesn't have any savings ... he's been bribing people to get extra tuna. Oh, well, so be it. He earned it!! ;o)

Good for you. Every time I look at your Duffy pictures, it just amazes me how agile he is, and how clearly full of personality. Here's to hoping the little kittens find a great home as a result of what you and Duffy did for them.

Yes, he is he's "Mr. Personality Plus." Can you believe that he had previously been adopted, and the woman who adopted him returned him to the shelter after two years??? And then he remained in a cage at the shelter for three months before I adopted him. I just can't envision how anyone could possibly do that to such a sweet, loving cat as Duffy.

Frank had a similar experience. He was five months old when I got him, and he had been in two families before that, but they had returned him to his original home! And he is the sweetest, nicest cat I have ever met. It's incredible, but all the luckier for me. His 16th adoption day is coming up.

That's how I look at it ... the loving cat that one person abandoned turned into great good fortune for me when he came into my life (and also for Duffy, I think I will never let him down as that woman did, and I can see from your message that the same is true for Frank).

Frankie sure is a handsome cat.
