Thanks to those who commented after viewing my album. I thought I'd add a bit of information about the stars..

Bandit is a 6.5-year-old rescue Moggie obtained at 2 from my local Cats Protection (national UK specialist charity) after they'd redeemed him from serious neglect weighing just 5 lbs, with what looks like a cigarette burn on the lens of 1 eye and baldness from a flea allergy. Nothing can be done about the eye but he's regularly Frontlined these days and now weighs a healthy 8 lbs: he's small-boned so this represents ample covering!
He's still of a nervous/skittish disposition, even now his first movement is backwards when approached and he shies away from strangers, his tummy is still a forbidden touchzone, but nowadays he'll soon examine a proffered lap from almost anybody and offers regular cuddles to his staff Emotion: it wasnt me, and sleeps beside my pillow. He still enjoys play, "string" in particular, and has responded quite paternally to Snowball the new kitten: games of chase are now regular. He's top cat around here and gets first pick from the food bowl, or any/every food bowl when there's a choice. (My boys seem to like sharing, as when there's several options they all try out each and end up rubbing snouts in the same one!).
Pericles is a 4-yo Maine Coon, Red Tabby, Retriever (so-called 'cos he learned to fetch all by himself) and is a semi-rescue cat: his breeder had been let down by the prospective owner and he wasn't selling, perhaps because he was the runt of his litter, so would have hung around in the crowd after neutering. At 13 lbs he's still behind his littermates and on the bony side, albeit passed fully healthy by several vets, which slimness actually might be kinder to his frame over the long term.
He's fully trained to the lead and enjoys long walks around my quiet Cornish country village, happily exploring the fields, footpaths, hedgerows, village green, playing fields and local graveyard. He can pull like a train and I sometimes have to carry him home when I've had enough and he hasn't! His favourite spot in my back garden (yard) is in the clump of Catmint I planted. He's very territorial and defends it from all-comers including a 40-lb Border Collie whom he chased away in one charge.
Snowball is my self-indulgence, a pedigree blue bi-coloured boy Ragdoll cuddlebunny, dam and sire from my two local breeders. Not yet at 6 months (more photos when he reaches that milestone), he's already pretty feisty, yielding not an inch at the food-bowl and playing with enormous vigour: to much for Peri indeed, who's pretty nervous of him. Luckily they get on fine during the quiet times after play and/or a big meal.
I feel very lucky and highly privileged to look after such a fine family.
Best to all

Don't know how I missed this the first time around, but I looked at your pictures now. Your cats look very sleek and happy. And gorgeous, of course.

Pictures of my mogs at http://uk.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/frankiennikki . The newest ones are in the folder August-October 2003.

Thanks for your kind comments everybody. I'm encouraged to add more pics as Snowball matures, although I won't neglect his seniors.

Frankie & Nikki are a delight: are they related?
I lso admired Linus' bravery v the Elk. Pericles isn't quite so forward with our local horses - he likes to keep the field fence in between.
Best to all
