My girlfriend and I saw the funniest thing the other day. Our newly aquired 2 year old female chihuahua was sitting in my lap on the floor. My 7 month old chi was running around as usual, and wanted to do his new trick - THE JACK HAMMER. Or in other words, he wanted to hump my arm. He was pulling a jack hammer on my arm and the usual lazy female chihuahua jumped up and started to smell his goods. She then proceeded to chase the male chihuahua around the room until she caught up with him, jumped up on him like a male usually does a female, and started the humping motion.
A few questions:
Why was she doing this? Her previous owner had a lot of male/female chi's they've been breeding (about 2 or 3 pairs), could this be something she's doing because she saw a lot of it there?

The male feels violated, any hints on boosting an ego after such an event?
Thanks

sometimes a dog will mount another to show who's in charge. the female is older, is new to the pack, and she saw the young male dominating your arm. so she jumped in and showed him who was really boss. :-)

about the ego thing... i doubt your dog feels "violated". he's probably just bumed that he's not the alpha dog in the pack. he'll get used to it.
