OK..
I must be doing something right.
Out of 80 tadpoles I have 65 toadlets.
The last bugger was transferred to the rearing containers yesterday. I am out of the fully aquatic stage.
Frankly, I expected the mortality and spindly-leg rate to be higher. I am a first time froggie dad.
I lost none as tadpoles.
I lost the 15 during the morph stage.
Probably due to insufficient food source when they were ready to eat. Its hard to gauge..most didnt eat until the tail was fully absorbed.

I have the rest in tupperware and paper towel rearing containers. All feeding crazily on fruitflies.
I've got to figure out something...
I dont have the room for this many adults.
The PetCo in my area has been known to take in unwanted herps. I dont know if they will take babies though.
I wont do anything until they are feeding on small crickets or other small common food items.
Hopefully this will help with the adoption rates.
Anybody interested in some unexpected captive bred FBT?

what is your tank set up ? did you intentionally breed them. I keep four adults at the moment in a half and half 10 gallon tank, and they are more than enough work :-)

Damn, Alex, you're so good you didn't even know it! Emotion: smile Congratulations on a job well done.
Where are you again?

4 adults(apparently at least 1 is a female)
75 gal long.50\50 tank with canister filter.
Live plantings.
Temps during the day at 81,night down to 72.
A little overboard for these guys but they seem to love the room. I even see them bask under the small heat lamp sometimes.

I didnt TRY to breed them, it just happened.
The ecosystem is large enough that it practically cleans itself. Water changes and occasional spot cleaning.
I never noticed the eggs, buried in the large pothos in the water side.
