Hi all,
I just set up a 10 gal tank to rescue a set of tadpoles from our pool before we prep'd it for summer. They seem to be doing fine on regular fish food flakes that picked up at the local pet store.

Since we found a grey tree frog in the skimmer, I would assume these are it's tadpoles.
Are there specfic fish that I can introduce into this tadpole tank? It's 80% filled with water and has a filter going (was getting too cloudy without the filter).
I read somewhere that goldfish are recommended tankmates for tadpoles but I can't seem to find the article anymore and I'm not sure what the posters reasoning was behind it. I'm not a big goldfish fan but if they would "help" the environment in the tank I would get a few.
