Hi Annamarianna,

I may be wrong but the recent studies showed this is not true.
If you've found any studies online or any links to back up that it's not true can you provide them here? There's so much online about fish being like poison to cats and I think it can be but just like anything else. All my research shows that it's no worse than any of the by products, fillers and other gross stuff they put in food. I'd love to have something to show the contrary to this if you can find it for me.
Hi alfinnlay,

I think I read about that on a Czech veterinary website. If I find a link to an English source I'll let you know.
Great thank you so much! Actually if you give me the link I think Google has a translator I can use to decipher it.

Never heard of something like this! How come it's possible at all? I wouldn't be surprised if we talked about sugar or other crap you don't usually give to a cat but... fish! Perhaps it's a rumor that pet food manufacturers started?
This is very interesting. Thanks for your opinions all. I'd love to have that link too Omnia if you can find it.

Janis that seemed odd to me too so I started this thread. Emotion: smile
No, that wouldn't make sense if the pet food industry started it since they are the ones that produce most of the fish based pet foods. It's been common knowledge for awhile. I have my doubts that it's as bad as they say. I've been doing research and there's so many other things that are just as bad if not worse in pet food. It's to the point where what are we supposed to feed them? I wish mine would eat a home cooked diet but I tried and they won't. sigh.

Good idea, I wonder why I didn't think of this! I didn't bookmark that page but I'll try to find it again for you.
