Some of you may remeber me posting a short while back about Zee Bs' ear looking odd. Well I took him to the vet a while back & of course that had cleared up.
I also mentioned a while back about him having strange patches around his mouth, well they have become apparent again & the vet said they are ulcers & are spread by virus. I forgot to ask where he might of got them from, as he hasn't been near any other cats yet - does anyone know how they start/keep spreading ?
I was told to keep an eye on them, but was given no treatment.

I got a fright when I woke up this morning - I found a cat tooth in my bed ! I took it to the vets with Zee B & they told me it was a baby tooth ! Does every tooth fall out to be replaced by adult ones ?

Sorry for all the questions, thanks for answering (if you do Emotion: surprise)).

It'd be helpful if they gave you an idea of what virus. Many around the mouth are herpes simplex (not the sexually transmitted disease). I'm not sure that herpes simplex ever goes away completely. Perhaps he is experiencing outbreaks of a chronic problem.

Thanks for that, Diane. You have jogged my memory & the vet said it was a type of Herpes. I will do some rooting about on the web to see if I can find anything else about it.
Thanks again.

Kittens are like babies in that regard. The milk teeth eventually are replaced by permanent teeth, the process taking months instead of years. Usually the kitten swallows and digests the milk tooth as it comes out. Sometimes you find an itty-bitty tooth somewhere.
