Does anyone have any thoughts about placing a frog tank near speakers? The place I want to put my tree frog tank will be approx 5ft diag from my right front speaker and about 3ft from my main sub.

We dont get that loud on normal days but there are times when the music is cranked up or a movie is loud.
(come see Saving Private Ryan or The Matrix at my house..hehe)

My first worry would be from the sub and the low frequency vibrations that the tank would endure. The right front speaker will be off axis enough from the tank so I dont see a problem with mids and high freg. Has there been any studies on amphibian hearing to correlate to this?

A quick google turns up hits but too much to quickly sift through.

any thoughts welcomed

I think that the vibrations from the speakers could possibly be a stress issue for the frogs, and that being very close to really loud speakers would definitely be a stress issue.

I was thinking the same..
I have solved my problem.
My wife has now agreed to let me use a space in the back of the room. Some sweet talking and future considerations did it.

When I play music very loud and sometimes when I get the dogs howling with me, my Argentine horned frog hoots. But I don't know if it bothers him, or he likes it.
