Hi Folks,
Just discovered this ng.. I own a leopard Gecko, age 1.5 years..

Lately, he seems lethargic.. Trouble catching criketss.. Not much activity,, May not be drinking water.. ( hard to tell, because the heat lamp does evaporate the water,,
Does any one have any ideas or things I should check to judge his health?

Thanks
Justin
If the water evaporates too fast, try to put the water dish on the cool side of your tank and/or use a bigger dish.
You could also change his diet sometimes, i.e. alternate the crickets with mealworms, waxworms or similar. Sometimes leos simply get 'sick' of the menu.

Thanks Anna,
That is a start!

I dont give my colony water daily, even 2 or 3 so they all to it at one, i do mist and they lick it off the leaves also.
A sudden drop of temp this year, just enough to slow down ectotherms is possible, i have that with BD's. If it seems the crix are outrunning the lep gex them put hem in a smaller container, i dont feed mine daily either, i give them a mad dash every few days and the odd crix left just gets ignored etc but after 3-4 days of no food and no interest things can be a bit worse, whats the temps?

Add a bigger water dish, and move it away from the light.

In addition, get your local herp vet to do a fecal. My normally gregarious LG (the younger of 2 that own me) had a bacterial infection that made her lethargic, and this showed up when the vet did a fecal. She would accept hand/tong feeding, even when she was spending most of her time hiding, sleeping, and being grumpy.
