Do you think LittleDogPeople are less rational than BigDogPeople? BillyBob:

had just come in, and the first visitors wanted to adopt him. When told there is a waiting list for little terriers, they shoved the volunteer back and tried to steal him. Quite a kerfuffle ensued. Would a BoxerPerson do that?

Well geeeze he IS excessivley cute. Yeah - I can see how that face would cause irrationality. - But to answer the question - the big dogs have their irrational contingent as well. All us dog people deny such irrationals have any semblance to us - nevermind any evidence to the contrary.

Well, it's a lot easier to run carrying a Yorkie than a Boxer.

Well, after looking at his picture, I can understand someone losing their rational side. He is adorable!! We have to padlock the little guys because they have been stolen in the past. Although a few months back, it was a Basset that was stolen. We recovered him within moments and the kids were looking at big trouble for their prank.

It's just easier to grab a little dog and run. You got a newfie in your arms and you're not going to run very fast!

Yeah, but they get suspicious when you walk in carrying a saddle.

All of your pictures show the dogs leashed to a post, even the dogs that seem to be in a great stay.
Wouldn't it be more effective to show them just standing or lying there? A well behaved dog. I supposed that the leashing presents a pitiful aspect, too (especially the elephant leash on BillyBob) which I guess is valuable, too.

having been the photographer for animal control here, i am actually really impressed with the photos chris' shelter comes up with. I felt fortunate if i got a picture that didn't have my hand holding the dog away from me in it.
