Hi all, while we're on the Gentle Leader subject, I have another question relating to them. I tried one for ... The fit was checked by 3 independent trainers, and all said it was proper. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yup. My border collie would be fine as long as there were no Super Duper Distractions (read "squirrels"). Then she'd lunge and pull as if the GL didn't exist.
GLs aren't for all dogs.

I tried a halti harness this time last year and had similar problemsto those you describe and it really cut her nose,>.

Hi Diana,
I think you mean halti. A halti harness is the new thing from Roger Mugford, it is actually a harness.

This is the same thing as the Sensation harness. While I'm only a recent convert (this past year), my training group has been using them for a couple of years now. So while they're sorta new, they're not that new.

Interesting to see that he's got a version of it now. I wonder why he's showing it with a double leash. I've never used two leashes with one, only the leash that attaches to the ring on the chest piece.

A big Hi and a big Thanks to all of your for your generous time and information for me and Mickey about the Gentle Leader. You have given me a rich bag of ideas/suggestions to work on. Surely, surely the little dog and his impatient owner can work this out with your good help.

Again, many thanks to all of you.

I don't know the Sensation harness , will have to check that out . I think I really meant new for the Company of Animals but it didn't read like that:)

Its similar to the Walkezee too. I don't know why they recommend the double ended leash , I didnt read the whole web site maybe it says on there. If I were a dog I'd rather wear a harness.I'd be trying to get the halti or gentle leader off. I can't stand glasses on my nose.
