Hi Melinda,
I could understand maybe if it were bitches but not dogs. Our local RSPCA neuters all males before rehoming and I think in some cases it's waste of money. The dogs are usually mongrels and x breeds so I doubt if people would be tempted to breed them.

How big is she? From that angle, she looks like Tasha, or vice versa. Do you have any other pictures of her?

I've never met her. Image is 35-40 lbs., depending on how fit she is at the moment, and her sister Ivory is the same size. You should definitely take a look at the dogs in that kennel - he's got a bunch of dogs from that line (LouFranc) and from the one of the lines they were developed from (Kodiak). I think they're terrific dogs, and boy are they different from show-type Siberians.

Seppala dogs have a similar look. There are some really nice dogs at http://home.comcast.net/~taymarr/theteam.html
Ok, I found quite a few digital photos of all 3 Sibes, including a reasonable side shot of Tasha. I ... lot of work, and his job is the pictures. I could email some pictures. Or post them somewhere with instructions.

I think Yahoo Photos is really easy to use, but if you'd rather not mess with getting a Yahoo account you could email them to me and I could post them.

You misunderstand. They require all of the dogs I already have to be speutered.

Jack, as a Republican, I appreciate your dissemination of useful information regarding the irresponsibility and outright dirty tricks of the Legislative branch against the Bush administration.
As a dog lover, I do not appreciate your spamming this dog behavior newsgroup with political information having nothing to do with dogs or behavior.
There are many discussion groups which deal with politics and related areas which would be appropriate. Please post there. Those of us who are like-minded politically would also appreciate it from the point of not making us look poorly by example.

Long, lean and leggy. A number of them remind me of Tasha.

Some of those don't even look like Siberians.

I have a Yahoo account and have spent the past hour trying to upload photos. I thought it looked easy too, but for some reason it's not uploading the photos. It keeps telling me that the album is empty, please add photos, I try to add photos, but the album is still empty. I'm not a computer guru, but I follow directions just fine. Anyway, I'm going to email you a picture of Tasha while I keep trying. I had
10 nice photos of the 3 huskies, including one of Boomer in a blizzardand the obligatory big nose shot of Mukluk taken from above.

As Rhett once said to Scarlett, Me, "Frankly, I don't give a damn" what you "appreciate" or don't, Republican or no Republican. But you probably already knew that, right? I'm not going to allow folks here to make political comments in their sig files without responding to them (in a reasonable way), especially when they are basically lies and/or gross distortions.
There's just too much at stake.
If you don't like it, please feel free to:
1. Put me in your kill-file
2. Just ignore me

But whatever you decide to do, please don't keep WHINING about it.

It's very unRepublican-like to whine. Emotion: smile
PS: If you'll check out tomorrow's Classified Section in your local newspaper, under Help Wanted, you'll usually find more than a few ads for Hall Monitors.
I suggest that you reply to a few of them. Then maybe you'll stop bothering us all here.

She's pretty! She looks to me like a racing line dog, too, but not Seppala-type. Emmett is similar, although more exaggerated (he's really lanky). She reminds me of somebody's dogs; I'll try to remember and come up with a URL. That stance and headset make her look like Queen Of All She Surveys.
The uploading problems you had may have been due to the size of the files - they're huge. I shrunk it down to about 1/40 of its original size (um, the file, not the photo; that I reduced by 1/2) and uploaded it to

This is the same SPCA that spends who knows how much money sending letters to shelters across the US extolling the virtues of no-kill facilities.

On top of that, Ed Sayres has now written a book to tell us all how to do things his way. "Cinderella Dogs" is the title, IIRC. That damned letter of his seems to have taken on a life of it's own. I don't think it's been remailed, but I had someone within our breed rescue send it to me no more than 6 weeks ago - as something to think about.

Sally, I'll post them for you, if you'll send them to me (as .jpgs) attached to an e-mail.

Thanks, Jack. I don't think you want these pictures...I chose 10 pictures and attempted to upload them to Yahoo Photos. It didn't seem to be working, even when I tried just one photo, so I lost patience and emailed Melinda one picture of Tasha that shows her from the side. When I checked to make sure the email and photo had gone through, I discovered that the photo was huge. So I emailed Melinda an apology for sending such a huge file, and accidently sent her the file again. I just gave DH a good laugh at work when I told him. He said that he saves photos on the hard drive as they are and cuts them down if he's going to do something with them. Very soon now, he will be showing me how to trim photos.
And tomorrow, we work with clay.
