Sherry,
OK, I've listened to this *** long enough. You're no med student, I doubt
you're even a college student. Frankly, you're too dense. Since you can't figure out how to attribute, I had to go back and find Mary's post. The topic
is the alleged "ordinance" that you claim requires shelters to keep cats caged.
"Assessment" or taxes, doesn't have jack-*** to do with compliance with city
ordinances or fire codes. You first lost credibility when you tried so hard to
tell everybody you were a med student that you completely failed to make the point of most posts. Then you lost more credibility when you tried so hard to
"use big words" that you used them totally out of context, and made a couple up
to boot. (see: about any of your posts, most recently the phrase "in agreance".
Plus, you seem to have an awful lot of time to argue arbitrary points on usenet.
But, it's okay, honey. You can be anything you want to be on usenet.
SherryYou are right; i'm not a medical student. I am a first year doctor. As far as being too dense, I apologize if my BIG words frighten you, or actually make you think. My lexicon may be a bit larger than what you are use to in the print media world. Furthermore, I could care less if you choose not to believe what I post. The only time you should be concerned with what I type is when you see your decrepit name at the top, or my posting under your thread.

You know nothing about me, nor do I presume to know what encapsulates you as a person. As for the ordinance, it is alive and well in the state of Florida. No, it's not set in stone yet, but it will be possibly by the end of the year. No, it doesn't affect you in Oklahoma a.k.a Sherry Territory, so why are you concerned? You can sit at home with your three cats Frank, Bootsies and Yoda, and your husband who doesn't seem to have any vices. Call your son who just moved out and your daughter Jamie from time to time.

It's a shame she isn't married anymore. Make sure Bosley is doing fine with his long legs. Tend to your home and your flower bed, which looks fantastic by the way. Be sure to let your cats out in their extra large converted patio / cat room. Do yourself a favor and at least get AOL Broadband. If you want to attack me, that's fine. You are much older, set in your ways, and simply have just as much credibility as I do when it comes to this topic. Furthermore, you are embarrassing yourself by admitting that you don' t know or never have heard of the term "agreeance." I made the mistake of incorrectly spelling the word in my earlier posts. For that, I do apologize. However, since you did once work in the real world, you should have been able to infer how the usage of the word was directed in the sentence and realized what was meant.

The reason I have a lot of time lately to picker with you on Usenet, is because I am on leave for the holiday, all the other times are when I am on break checking email, and or writing my reports. When the ordinance becomes set in Florida you are going to be the first old red head I email it to.
Mary, I quote you "Iso, it doesn't matter. Cats should not be mutilatedfor our convenience. They CAN be trained. Anyone ... aren't taken care for later in life and always exhibit the same behavioraland medical problems. That was my only point.

If you say so. I remain convinced that the quality of life for these cats is diminished from watching my own declawed and clawed cats in daily life for years, and from hearing about the experience of others. Moreover, you can say that you do not support it over and over again, but by saying that "it isn't as bad as we make it out" you are portraying it as less than the tragic mutilation that it is.

You are not going to win this one here. Try going over to a dog group and suggesting that having their toes chopped would not be as bad as some might think, and see where that gets you. I have the feeling you are simply trying to ease some guilt here over declawing your own cats. I did it out of ignorance, and am willing to admit that it was a really terrible thing to do to any living creature. Try it, you might feel better.
Mary, I quote you, "It doesn't matter. Apples and oranges. Declawing ahealthy cat is mutilation, plain and simple. If you ... have mixed-up judgment. Once again, Ihave to say loudly for Mary, I DO NOT ADVOCATE DECLAWING AND OR THEPROCEDURE OF

Sigh. There is no need to shout. My point was a valid one. Just because what you see happening to humans is horrible does not mean that the intentional mutilation of cats is any less horrible. Period.
Mary,

But, it's okay, honey. You can be anything you want to be on usenet. Sherry

This is funny and true! However, I am not sure Iso isn't being honest. I do think Iso is being dense and trying to ease her own guilt.
Sounds a bit like desperation >flaming borne of a losing

argument... Actually, you already did that. Apparently you are under themisguided impression that adding another ID to your reply will do something.Stop being so pathetic and act like someone who has a clue.

Coming from you this is rich.
Mary,
If you say so. I remain convinced that the quality of life for these cats is diminished from watching my own declawed and clawed cats in daily life for years, and from hearing about the experience of others. Your uneducated presumption about me couldn't be more far from the truth. I don't have declawed cats. I don't declaw cats and I never would declaw a cat. I dont have any guilt, because I haent done anything wrong. You need to back track a few more posts or threads. What am I trying to win? I am not petitioning or advocating declawing. I read your original thread, and I agree with you 100%. Get a grip!
Mary,
Sigh. There is no need to shout. My point was a valid one. Just because what you see happening to humans is horrible does not mean that the intentional mutilation of cats is any less horrible. Period.
I agree AGAIN! That was my ONLY point! What I deal with on a daily basis has made me numb to the topic! Nonetheless, I DO NOT ADVOCATE DECALWING, so stop presuming that I do.
Mary,
My own guilt of what?
