All I can see is the very tippy tops of ears!
Also, I think HuskyCam should be streamed directly to my teevee. Just sayin'...

Probably could be if you had Tivo. Hey - I should look into whether that's actually possible.
Anyway, just completed the mid-morning Changing of the Huskies. The rowdies are out at the moment.

Nope. I can't bring myself to pay the service subscription fee on top of paying for cable (thread merge!). I have one of the only slightly better than completely craptacular Mororola DVRs. I cannot unrecommend it enough.

It's bad enough that I'm considering buying my own damned DVR, even though they're kind of spendy.

And now, your bandwidth is maxed out. Waaah! I should have sat on my hands and waited.

They don't look too rowdy to me. But then I have Sassy.

Looks like you have about the same amount of snow that we have. We're making a trip up that way tomorrow morning for team agility - hoping that the lake effect hits you and then skips right over the airport area and lands somewhere around Cortland. Although I defnitely prefer the snow to last weekend's ice!
Could we arrange to have winter hold off until I get to and then back from Minnesota (around the 1st)? At least at the airports involved?

I've throttled back the bitrate on my webcam, which means that you only get occasional frames and you miss the zoomies. It's a tradeoff.

Well, we're missing training, races have been cancelled, the dogs are unfit, and we've trained with the sled once in the last two winters, so I'm really not with you on this.

One thing that's become more evident this year with Image's somewhat unexpected retirement is just how much more quickly the dogs age than we do. Missing two years of sledding with these guys is missing a lot.

Come on. I really need a stressfree trip. After two winters, what's another ten days or so?
(tick, tick, tick. spring is approaching)

I can understand that. And there's just no way to get that time back.

I see similar problems with agility dogs. An injury that makes an agility dog lose even one season is impossible to ever completely overcome. You can get the dog back to working shape but the time can't be replaced. The prime time age-wise for working dogs (whatever they're working at) is so short and the training periods are so long.
After a SAR down here yesterday, DH is showing some interest in a SAR dog. He was already interested in tracking - but our dogs are not-so-much good off-road dogs. Our breeder had some standard puppies who were outstanding at it. DH would be good at it - both the human and the dog parts.

There is snow coming back at Tug Hill, isn't there?

You're not missing much. A bunch of dogs exited stage right, and were off camera. Then, a few came back and were hiding behind the shed. There was one lumpo'Husky. Until mean ole Melinda opened the door and they all went back in.
The End
I would like to request that Melinda teach the bunch to 'Entertain the Masses', and barring that, at least have enough cameras to cover the yard, so we can see just what the hell is so interesting off to the right of the camera, and what they're doing when they get there.

I think Melinda should chase them around the yard for awhile.
The End

Still way more entertaining than what I'm doing.

Seconded.

Don't tell me that. DH got Tivo for Christmas.

This leads me to a question: how do you handle your turnouts with 7 huskies? Now that we've got 5 male greyhounds, at least two have to be muzzled when they're all out together. They certainly are competitive beasts.
