Coda almost always beats Bodhi to the toy. But, that is because Bodhi lets him. He'd rather chase Coda afterward while he's prancing and steal it. He's considerably faster, and corners much better than Coda.

Sadie is definitely faster than Jonesy, and is the top dog at least for now, but Jonesy almost always ends up with the ball when I throw it. Jonesy is much more ball focused, and even when Sadie does get it, Jonesy will steal it at any opportunity.
Sadie has this amazing bark/snarl of frustration when that happens...

In the snow, Rocky was prancing with the ball that ... it, and then tossed it some more. Taunting his foe.

Pictures?

I've really got to get a digital camera with video capabilities.

LOOK WHAT I HAVE! ISN'T IT GREAT! WOW, WHAT A GREAT BALL.

It's an especially great ball because it's coming apart and flops around very effectively while he kills it.

But we still want snow !

The snow we've got is from about 2 weeks ago and is starting to get well packed, though both dogs can usually find a spot to face plow.

: Heh. It's not too often that Rocky beats Friday to the : ball, and he played it up way better that I could : possibly describe. What did Friday do?

He contented himself with killing a stick since he knew he'd never be able to steal the ball from Rocky. While Friday is the speedier of the two, Rocky is much better at keeping his prize.
Fly, being faster than a speeding bullet, always beats Solo to the toy, if they're both going for the same ... Fly's lead out in public or in situations where he is unsure, he's clearly top dog in their interpersonal relations.

Friday appears to be wresting that position away from Rocky.
Fly has been known to beat Solo to the toy, and then toss it so him so that she can enjoy watching him play with it. She likes to watch.

FNARR!
Solo has been known to squeak the toy in Fly's face just to get her all excited because he knows ... he was really sorry, since Fly normally defers to Solo about toys. Still not sure if I handled that correctly.

Squabble between my two usually only last a couple of seconds, so I've never had to break anything up, though I usually have time to tell them "cut that out!"
Would Rocky have beat Friday to the ball, pre-epilepsy?

Probably not - while Rocky used to be really fast, Friday's a speed demon and can turn on a dime. Usually Friday grabs the ball while it's in the air, up to about 5 feet, often coming down with a back flip.
To tell you the truth, the only reason Rocky got the ball this time was because he was in the right place at the right time.

Coda has always been a prancer, however with Bodhi around he will flaunt just how great he thinks the toy ... tail up high, prancing around with the toy (especially if it's a flingy type toy like his kong on a rope).

Yup. The ball is falling apart, so it's very flingy. Rocky tends to move between prancing and bucking like a horse.

Yay Rocky! This one put a big smile on my face that won't easily be erased this morning.

Thanks Chad, I wish that I had caught it on video.

Indeed you do. That one sounds like one of those priceless moments. I love to see dogs tossing toys until they are dead kind of thing.

BTW, I got Blade next to largest Kong and he has already nearly mutilated it. By next week I am sure it will be gone.

Gwen - try a SMALLER size that he can't get his jaw into. Even my power chewers don't destroy Kongs! (I get the size that the KOOL Kong comes in).
