Pup. He's been on the Petfinder site for months ... just looks FUN, and I love the frosted muzzle.

It's too bad the older dogs are so hard to adopt out. I shouldn't say anything - it'd break my heart to lose a dog after having had it for only a few years.

I know it, me too. He's not far, and he's with experienced BSD folks. Hopefully I'll get to see him at the Belgian Fun Day next spring. :-)
And Chica. She's also been in the ABTC's rescue system ... And she's a girl, which is a definite plus.

Gorgeous! The Boyz would like to have a baby sister. Just ask them. And, she's close to you.

Yes...logistically, she is the most probable for me. Ack. A brown dog! No, I'm kidding. I like Tervs as much as BSDs, there's just too many politics that come into play with their coat coloring, so I decided to stick w/ basic black.
Finally, there is Murphy. 9 mos. old, they're calling him ... just sopretty... no more boys...no more boys...no more boys...

That's not gonna work! I have always wondered if we have enough people here that we can do a cross country transport. Maybe it is time to find out?

He's a gorgeous boy. I actually asked around on the Belgian rescue list if anyone's gone & checked on him in person. I'm so curious, I just find him incredibly striking.
The bad part is, even though I know there's room in my heart for another, there's not so much room in my schedule. I have Bodhi involved in several things (herding, tracking, and agility will start after the first of the year) and Coda's pet assisted therapy visits (his first one last night went great!). Not to mention I work full-time. I'm afraid if I were to take on another dog I'd feel as if I were cheating the ones I've already got. I promised DH that I'd wait until Bodhi was 4 or 5 before adding another, and he's pretty firm on that deadline.

I see this a lot. Would you explain it to me,please?

Thanks

he's bee-yoo-tiful! he looks like a Dutch Shepherd to me. http://www.zurich.ibm.com/~jsc/more/hollande.html Dutchies are one of the few herding breeds i covet.

I'm wondering if maybe he's not Terv/Dutchie/Collie? His head is too refined, IMHO, to be a purebred Dutchie, and his eyes just don't seem right...I can't put my finger on it. And his nose is a bit snipey for Belgian (unless you think way extreme Euro lines), but reminds me of Collie. I really like brindle coloration, and while Belgians are known to have brindle way back in their history, I'd think it doubtful to pop out of the blue. Especially on a dog w/ an unknown background.
He's just gorgeous.

could well be. or he could be a Terv x something carrying brindle.

i noticed that, too. they're too almondy.
I really like brindle coloration,

so do i. it's my favorite color pattern. you know what's funny? harriet looks fawn, but if you look really closely, she's got a few extremely fine black stripes. i think she heard me say i preferred brindle and is trying to change her spots .

i just saw your post in *breeds. hopefully Liisa will have some bright ideas.
He's just gorgeous.

that he is! even if he does have a pointy nose .

it's a shortened link.
there are three link shortening websites that i know of:

http://www.makeashorterlink.com
http://www.tinyurl.com
http://www.snurl.com
my personal favorite is snurl, but they all work pretty much the same way.

So does this mean it is faster ,or because you do not have to type so much? I thought most do a C&P.
Thanks for the info

Details, please.

To heck with work.

DHs can be persuaded. Just ask Gwen if you need any tips ;-)

I think that I'm being a good enabler these days. While poking around the local rescue websites, I found a 4 1/2 month old puppy who looks exactly like one of the dogs that comes to the dog park (he and his sister are Chowy mixes). Took a print out and showed it to the dad, who asked whether he could keep it so he could show the dog to his wife. I may have found their third dog, one they didn't even know they needed. We'll see. BTW, you can see Killian here:
http://members.petfinder.org/%7EMD27/html/killian.html They also have a deaf dogo puppy there who looks just adorable.

Suja you are bad. I can see where you got to level 6!:))

Not faster, just a lot less unwieldy. When the links get too long, sometimes they wrap around on to the next line, and C&P won't work in the browsers. Much easier to shorten the link and post it. If it is a link that you think ought to be archived (informational links that someone might want to look up), it is also good manners to post the original link.
