Kami hasn't been too fond of the extra cold and it's silly to heat the house to a nice 76 all day and all night. So, I bought her a plush kitty teepee today. She went inside and has been there the last several hours. I don't think she's coming out until summer.

My cats have heating pads, 2 pads, 3 cats. I guess I should break down and buy another but it seems silly. They definitely take turns, though. We turn them off in the day when we go to work cuz I worry about leaving them on. We just had 5 days off so they were turned on a lot while we were at home. Today, we went back to work so they had to rough it all day without their pads. This is Arizona, though, although it's pretty cold here now, got down to 29 last night, I think.

Yeesh, you Cali's. That is downright HOT for here.

Your subject line scared me and I was glad to see she was being spoiled. lol

For me/here, too. I keep the house at 60 while I'm at work (where it often *is* 76 & I roast!), 66 in the evenings, & 58 at night. During the winter. Too bad it can't be that cool in the summer...

No kidding! I would LOVE it to be 76 here instead of snow and in the 20's!

I wish *I* could crawl into a teepee 'til Summer. :-)

LOL! In all fairness to Kami, had she known she'd be shanghaied for a two day car ride to a colder clime, she probably would have grown herself a better winter coat. But she's been in CA for nearly 16 years and has only had to do that about twice (how do they know what kind of winter is coming, anyway?)

You and me both!! *g*
Taking the dog out when snowballs are hitting me in the butt is not my idea of a grand time. heh
