It's amazing how relative life can be. Prior to one month ago, if someone would have asked me what sounds I enjoy the most, it would have been the waves rolling in, in Yahatz or Florence, Oregon.
About 30 minutes ago, I was hanging my coat up, as I saw my cat enter the bathroom, right around the corner from the front door. I tip-toed close to the bathroom so as not to let him hear or see me (He doesn't like to be watched when he is doing his business). And then I heard what has come to be the most precious sound in my life this past month since george was blocked: the sound of his bladder emptying into the litter box! I'm sure other folks who were hit out of nowhere for the first time with a cat who has such an episode can relate!! It's music to my ears these days.

I also realized I cannot always distinguish what is in the box once it's been buried. Hearing is the best detection method!

Another sound that can be music to the ears is a cat eating, after having been ill & not eating.

What I am hoping to hear is my cat taking a *** without a whole lot of gas and that squirty sound.

I LOVE YAHATZ. Its a lovely little beachtown. The last time I was there was in
1981. I'd love to visit that town again! and of course the best clam chowder onthe coast is at Florence.
BTW - Its good to know that you're cats on the mend! Cheers
