Hi, my 1 month old kitten had a play with a stray cat and I decided to give him a bath with a shampoo so that he doesn't get fleas or anything worse. Within 3 days after it almost all his undercoat on the head and shoulders fell out. The skin is very dry but there's no dandruff. The kitten doesn't sratch himself, his behavior is just as usual. Please advise, what's it and what should I do?

For products that will be healthy and safe for your pet always purchase from a vet, a pet salon, or a holistic pet food store. You will pay a bit more, but you will have peace of mind. Of course these products can't guarantee that your pet won't have an allergic reaction ... it simply means that the risk is much smaller.
Your kitty's hair should start growing back on its own within a few days. If you don't see new hair growth within about 7 to 10 days, or you notice any other health concerns within that time, then have him checked over by your vet.
For future flea control, avoid giving your kitty a bath. Cats very rarely need an actual bath, with shampoo and water. This should be reserved for times when your kitty gets into something that would be unsafe for him to digest. Instead, I would recommend using powders or oral flea deterrents. Again ... purchase from a reputable seller to reduce the risk to your kitty.
