Were they green?

Were they green? Anoles are very common in Florida.Although green anoles are native, brown anoles (from cuba) are actually more common. I see them at my dad's place in FL all the time...

Hmm... My Anoles here (Carolina Anoles) turn from green to brown and back again depending on the color of the surface they are sitting on.

They change colors, hence the reason many people mistakenly call them "Chameleons" (sp?)
