My husband and I are moving from NY to AZ and we plan to drive with our two cats. Initially, we thought to drive for 10 hrs/day so that we can get to our destination as fast as possible, but after that we decided to keep the time in the car shorter in order to accomodate our cats. So, I need an advice about that. Which option do you think is better? Drive for a week 5-6 hrs/day or drive longer hours for 3-4 days? Thanks!

I think you shouldn't drive for more than 7-8 hours a day because this is usually the time cats can wait to relieve themselves. Have your cats travelled in a car before, by the way? Do you know how they could behave in such a trip?

Thanks for the reply! We've never driven with them for more than an hour, but when we fly with them they seem to be ok. We've never had any problems when flying. One of my cats does fine in the car, but the other one gets a little stressed out.
