I have a almost 5 month old male (un neutered ) Malamute. I love him dearly! But I can not seem to stop him from peeing in the house. He's great anywhere, everywhere else, but every day now he pees on the kitchen floor...even right behind me rather physically (now) scolding him and putting him outside in the back yard. I do not beat him, or kick him, but I do take him by the scruff of the neck (like a alpha dog would do), shake him (NOT too vigorously) while saying "NO! NO! NO! NO!" then put him outside. For two months now he knows about peeing outside...often enough he just goes out to pee then comes back in...when I can I always praise that with "Good boy, GOOD! GOOD! Boy"...but now it seems to be becoming a dominance issue. I know all those "be the alpha..." tricks like coming in/out doors first. I play with him all the time, every day we have play and basic training episodes, which he is very good with. Yes, I use a non-ammonia based spray on his spots after I thoroughly clean up the urine first.

I have two older female Malamutes, both very well "home trained"....over the decades I have had 9 other male Malamutes...always easy to gentle-voice + patience train to not pee in the house. I used the same methods with this Malamute, but he just keeps peeing on the kitchen floor...NO! its not some smell there, as I've scrubbed and scrubbed, rinsed and rinsed this floor many times always coming behind with a "Fabrese" type scent eliminator. What am I to do? I love this dog to life, but I do not want to ruin him punishing for this behavior...
