So, I've noticed that from time to time my oldest cat Kal will show aggression towards my youngest, Nibbler. Now, when I say aggression, I don't mean he outright attacks him or anything. But what he'll do is grab him by the back of the neck and pin him to the floor. He's done this a few times and it's one of the reasons we've decided that it's time to get Kal fixed. What I want to know is why is he doing this? It isn't all the time. They eat together with no problem. What I'm thinking is that Kal is trying to show Nibbler who is boss...either that or he simply does not like him. He doesn't do it to Billy, who is his biological brother.

He's showing his dominance. Finney did that to Lacey when she first came here and occasionally still does. DEFINITELY get him fixed. It may not stop it completely but it tamper it down. His testosterone is kicking in, it's time for sure.
that sounds like dominance to me too but i don't know how to explain why he doesn't do it to the other cat. is billy neutered?
No, Billy is un-neutered as well. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the fact that Kal and Billy were raised together, being siblings and all. I don't know how to explain it. Of course, Kal has never much liked Nibbler...ever since we first brought him into the house. But yeah, we will be getting him fixed soon before he becomes too aggressive and actually ends up hurting Nibbler.
asking for trouble having 2 un-neutered males. I would definitely get them both neutered.
What about neutering Nibbler too if he's not fixed?
