we are breaking them up a little so that her tummy isn't too full in the morning or at night..periodic feedings are probably better??? Your opinion on that?? ..we will see how it goes but so far everyone is doing much better!!

That sounds great!
Periodic feedings are fairly standard - like 4 times a day. Sorry, I already forgot how old your puppy is.
Normally, it took our 8-week-old puppy 10-20 minutes after eating to poop. Your milage may vary. Our baby puppies are not on that schedule, darn it! It would make elimination time so much easier!

Try not to feed the puppy too late at night, either.

There are a lot of changes and it takes time for the puppy to get into the new schedule. Or that's how it's working around here, at any rate.

Be patient, eveything will be fine. Also, don't be too worried if your puppy refuses a meal or two. That's normal.

I wake up once in the night on my own and then I let her out.

One point: It'll go much faster if you take her out so you're there to praise (and put it on command if you want).

And an extremely good point at that.

Lockin dogs in boxes MAKES THEM INSANE and DEATHLY ILL.

she seems to urinate on the training pad we have out but the other business gets kind of all over the place.

HOWEsbreakin is INSTINCTIVE at four weeks of age. There's ONLY TWO *(2) reasons HOWE COME a dog would have HOWEsbreakin problems: 1. He's SICK. OR 2. He's UNHAPPY.

***, you miserable child molesting liar.
Better take your HAPPY puppy to the vet.

We are have just changed her puppy food too

Commercial dog food is GARBAGE.

Let's see. Everyone is a dog abuser. Everyone is mentally ill. Every spouse and child is like every other spouse and child. All dogs are exactly the same. And now, ALL dog food is garbage. What other *** do you have for us, AssHowe?
I am sorry...I am not writing this correctly..I take her out..I just wrote that I "let her out" but that is not what I do..forgot I have to be specific..I get up put her leashe on and bring her outside in my parka and jammies..
That sound like a good plan we will give it a try starting today!!!
.I get up put her leashe on and bring her outside in my parka and jammies..

It's a good look. I have a full length, thick polar fleece robe. It is too hot to wear indoors, but perfect for taking dogs out in cold weather!

Perfect!
Thne need for specifics is important here as you have NO idea how many people say "let the dog out" and mean exactly that: put the dog outside, and let the dog back inside after they assume the dog pooped or peed.

Good for you!
How are things going now?
How's your older Lab?

Good! Not only do you get to know for sure that she goes, but you can get an early indication if she's not feeling well.
