I was reading a thread on chat group about someone using snake oil on their balls before taking a picture to spruce them up he said. Someone told me not to use the oil cause it is not good for him or her. Is this correct? Someone else in the chat said they use Neosporin.
Thank you to all that have been answering my questions. Please try to ignore my ignorance. Trying to learn.

Geeze..who gave you this tip..Ron Jeremy? LMAO!
To answer your question, some people use differing products to add a "shine" to their animals while photographing. Among those products used are: Vita-Shell
Mineral Oil
Baby Oil
Repti-Sheen
I personally don't use such products while photographing any of my animals, and I do not like using those products in general (with the exception of Vita-Shell which I use on occasion for my tortoise).

Please remember to put the word python after ball, otherwise people will mistake you for a troll
Yes, I was definitely talking about pythons.
What exactly is a troll. I have seen it written several times. I am new to the newsgroups.

Troll - ones who trolls for responses, normally in a negative way causing a large argument.
Your statement might have made one think you were talking of your testicles rather than your pet. Don't worry, we all understood you but were giving you a little newbie grief.
Next time you could use Royal or BP. Either would leave off a mental image. Emotion: wink
