let's say you're getting ready for a nap with your dog, and while you're in the bathroom, you hear the unmistakable sound of your dog's digestive system working in reverse. you run out to the hall to find a pile of half digested kibble about half the size of your dog. when you return with the paper towels and nature's miracle, the pile is mysteriously gone, and puppy dear is licking her lips.
what do you do?
a) put her outside. now. you'll think about letting that foul creature back inside tomorrow. shower. twice.
b) confine her to a crate or a small room so she can't get sick all over the house, then go take your nap.
c) put her in a crate next to the couch, and rest there so you can get her anything she needs.
d) give her a greenie and bring her to bed with you, being sure to cover her well with the down comforter. you want the poor girl to be sick in comfort, don't you?

But then again, if they're eating it again they aren't reallysick Emotion: smile Just ate too fast.

None of the above. IME when they eat their regurgitation, it stays down. Adding a greenie or anything else may cause it to come back up again.

d, of course! my comforters are all washable, so it's no biggie. i'd rather they refrained from getting sick on *me*, but i'm washable, too. besides, a nap without my canine hot water bottle is unthinkable.

good answer! i hope Lola (and the comforter) are okay today. harriet will occasionally hork up a dog-sized pile of yuck when she eats too quickly. when that happens, i let her recycle it. it always stays put the second time around.

Put a clothes-hanger on your nose and breathe through your mouth Emotion: smile Seriously, can you smell it? I never can (not that I go sniffing around for a whiff or anything but Boxers, prolly like Pits, tend to be in your face regardless).

i, uh, didn't get close enough to find out. :-) though you're right, her breath is usually just fine, regardless of how much time she spends licking her butt.

Oh come now, don't be missish! Just stick your face down in his/her face (you didn't see which dog) and take in a deep breath...thru your nose of course...and report back on your findings.
