You'd be surprised, I think. Six Corgis should be able ... make a point of keeping them out of soft snow.

Thanks for that image. :-) A Corgi running in 12" of fresh powder would look like a special effect shot from "Tremors". Lee

I would love to see it. But you know it may be surprising as maybe their lighter weight would keep them on top of the snow. If not I don't guess they would be going very far! LOL

Corgis are much more dense than fresh powder! We just got about 6" of snow (Saturday?), and the Corgis had to bound through it. Everyone else kind of plodded through, but the Corgis' legs were too short, so they had to resort to rabbit-like movements. Emotion: smile

LOL. Seems as though they do that a lot anyway. I mean the rabbit like movements. I love that movement.
What a grand image you gave me.
Reznor will get the opportunity to see and be in snow the day after Christmas as we are heading to Colorado.

It ought to be fun.

Bring a video camera!! Corgis are known for snowplowing, eating snow, rolling in it gleefully, and bounding through it like rabbits/deer.

I dunno...Bogey never saw snow, but he was known to stand on the edge of the patio in the rain, getting totally soaked, looking for a dry spot of grass to put his feet to pee. Somehow I don't think he would have approved of post-holing in fresh snow.

Well, you see, rain and snow are different things. My own Corgi boy, Mooch, tiptoes thru the rain to do his business, making it painfully obvious how incredibly insulted he is I made him go outside in *that.* Snow, OTOH, is cold, tasty, and flingable! You'd be surprised that confirmed aquaphobes fun snow totally irresistable. (Gawd, did I spell that right? I am on pain meds and antibiotics and things just don't look right.)

harriet concurs. rain is eeevil, but snow is one of the best toys ever. we got what was supposed to be a scant dusting of snow on Friday. it ended up being substantial enough for the dogs to play in. they had a blast rolling around and playing bitey face in it. both of them kept getting it up their noses and snorting and sneezing. it was cute, i tell ya'!

Harriet is a Smart Girl. When we got our 6" snowfall, June hadn't seen snow for real yet. She ran outside and about explodiated with joy! She ran, bounded, ate, snowplowed, and butt-tuck-zoomed all over!! Very Cute.
