HOMEOPATHY

In that case, save your money, this is just a nonsense.

The disclaimer on the label alone suggests quackery - if the product doesn't work they suggest taking the bird to a vet - but apparently enough people claim it works that it's worth trying. I'll report results and save others in the group the expense. I consider it an experiment and hope for the best for my bird's sake.

Proves my point, this page is meaningless mumbo-jumbo. Hexagonal water?

After reading this page I thought it was the ravings of a lunatic. I clicked the links to his other pages and I am now convinced the man is in dire need of medical treatment. (Not homeopathy, hehe) Take a look at the only sentence on that page highlighted in red. After a diatribe of gibberish the author weasels his way out of the fact that homeopathy cannot pass properly formulated double-blind tests.

To return a favour, here's a link for you.

Let me quote just one sentence from that page, attributed to Dr Park, an American physicist, which I think is applicable in this case, namely a discussion of the "potency" of ingredients in "Pluck No More".

"Dr. Park has noted that to expect to get even one molecule of the "medicinal" substance allegedly present in 30X pills, it would be necessary to take some two billion of them, which would total about a thousand tons of lactose plus whatever impurities the lactose contained."

Anyway, I'm sure the readers of this group can make up their own minds, and I apologize for being off-topic.

I completely understand people's skepticism regarding alternative medicine and homeopathy. Regardless of whether you believe in "energy medicine" or not, there are many things that are still unknown about the body, and how healing takes place.
Acupuncture is pretty much accepted by the mainstream medical community, but is still unexplained scientifically as to how it actually works.
Pharmaceuticals all have side effects. If there is a safer alternative, I will incorporate that into my bag. I am not opposed to pharmaceuticals. They have their place. I just want the right to choose.
The ironic thing is, a while back, I joined a homeopathic list, to learn more. I have several books on the subject. The list owner unsubbed me because I questioned her. I will continue to use what I consider the best of both worlds.
In closing, I have a friend who used the "Pluck No More," on a self mutilating bird. The bird stopped mutilating. This is only anecdotal, but IMO worth a try.
