We just started carrying a new dog food, and the ingredients list looks fabulous. Anybody ever heard of Blue? The salesman said they started selling it out of one vet's office in CT, and PetsMart picked up their contract. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. It's named after the dog it was formulated for originally, who was dying of cancer. He's alive and well now.

I don't remember the whole ingredients list, but the first two ingredients are chicken and chicken meal. It includes fish oil, fla* seed oil, carrots, liver, whole egg - lots of good stuff. No wheat, no by-products, no filler at all (unless you consider brown rice filler). And it doesn't cost any more than Eukanuba.
If you go into a PetsMart, check it out.

It was posted a month or so ago, and I am pretty sure it's only available through PM so unless you support mill-breeding of animals, no Blue for you! Emotion: smile
Oop, my bad, it's online through some various pet-supply sites. Here's the company site.

I don't feed dry dog or cat food, so I'm not in need to "Blue" fortunately. A lot of my clients want to buy their pet food at PS, so it's nice if there's actually a food I can recommend.

Thanks for the link - the food looks decent enough. My cats only get canned food, and the dogs only get raw, but I've saved the link for information anyway!

Out of curiosity, did you try to switch the cats and they resisted? My Hektor (big black cat) is a huge fan of meaty bones!

you mean to RAW? Yes, I tried, but they said no way jose! Skip actually prefers dry food, but since he has a small crystal problem, canned is a better choice (we also got him a water fountain!). I had to stop feeding dry entirely in order to get him eating the canned food.
The dogs OTOH, adore their raw diet.
