my new goldendoodle puppy (8.5 weeks old) refuses to walk through the door to go outside. He will walk up to about 3 ft from the doorway and I will walk out, ask him to follow but he simply wont go. Now when I open the door, he knows what will come next and retreats to his crate. We have to pick him up to bring him outside-which is often because we are housebreaking him I hate that I have to force him, I want him to want to go outside. When we are out there he is happy as a clam, and he goes back in just fine. Any suggestions? It is winter and fairly cold-mid 30's where I live- could that be it?
