Went to this today with my friend Charlie. A great day out and I ended up spending £70 on some great parrot toys :0)
Tomorrow I will rearrange all the cages and place the new toys in. Not many birds there to interest me. A lot of budgies and canaries, some larger hand reared parrots like amazons, greys and a couple of macaws which I simply would not look at :0)There was only one lot of patagonian conures, no quakers, no larger conures, plenty of fiery shouldered and small conures and several rather pretty blue headed pionus. I was tempted but I didn't succumb. Anyway, I was skint after buying up practically all the stall's stock of toys lol. I must have been his best customer of the day because he got so caught up in my enthusiasm that he threw in several parrot treats for free :0) I enjoyed myself just looking at stuff.

Last time you wrote about toys, you and your boyfriend were making and selling them yourselves. What happened to that little venture that you had to spend 70 quid on someone else's merchandise????? Your designs must have been as poor as the advice you dish out on this NG.

Heehee. Charlie will laugh when I tell him you called him my boyfriend. He is 72 and the father of a friend of mine.

Charlie was recently hospitalised with pneumonia, and nearly died because he was very ill and couldn't take the many medications he needs for his various health problems. He is not well enough to stand outside in his cold barn and make parrot toys. Satisfied?

And you say this based on what? You have seen they toys?? Nope. You have seen Charlies workmanship?? Nope
Simply put, you are one of the sad little trolls who infest this newsgroup with nothing of value to contribute and because that pisses you off bigtime, you try to upset people. Well sorry mate you are not trying hard enough.

You can't blame me, you look about 75 on your website.

What about you? Are you paralysed or pregnant?. Or are you saying that you were the business-brain behind it all. Using a 72 year old frail pensioner
to do all the work and you grabbing 1/2 the profits on the sales.
And you say this based on what? You have seen they toys?? Nope. You have seen Charlies workmanship?? Nope

Well, you gave a URL to the site you posted pics on, so yes, I did see your designs and the workmanship. Can't say I was all that impressed either. BTW, since it is pretty obvious that you ARE reading my posts. When are you going to give us something which might substantiate your wild claim that sunflower seeds inhibit the synthesis of calcium in birds?? Or is that a little much, even for you to do?

And that is of what relevence to this newsgroup??
You think that how I look is important to me??

No, I simply credited you with the brains to do a little searching by yourself. The evidence is widely available on the internet and in books or by asking an avian vet. Seems you are too stupid to do any of those things.
D-. Must try harder.

Obviously it is not or you'd do something about it. As to relevance, it is your subject line.not mine.
The profits bought him a pair of breeding greenwinged macaws.

You're trying to say that in the short while between your launch of the venture and his unfortunate bout of pneumonia, his share of the profits were enough to pay for a pair of breeding GWs??
I have seen plenty of BS from you but that takes the cake

I am very familiar with the composition and nutritional content of sunflower.
Familiar enough to know with absolute certainty that your statement was another typical example of the misinformation you are so fond of posting. Nice try better luck next time.

We made and sold the toys locally before we went online. Most of the pet shops and bird dealers in a 30 mile radius stocked them. I used to be in sales, so did all the mailshots and went round with samples etc. Selling online too was simply another dimension. A pair of greenwings only costs £1200 ish over here.

Silly boer. posting more misinformation. Do you have to practice hard at being a dimwit or was it inherited?

Sad when your wits desert you and you have to resort to racial slurs and simply repeating your protagonist's accusations against you. It appears that when your back is against the wall you show your true colours
and revert to type, becoming a typical Pom. The words in Rule Britannia should have read "Britannia waives the rules". It might interest you to know that my grandparents were British and hailed from Newcastle. They came to S.Africa to fight the boers and came damned near to getting their asses kicked along with the rest of the British army till Lord Kitchener, brilliant tactician that he was, had the great idea of rounding up all the Boer women and children and killing them all by slow starvation in concentration camps.
What Blair and Bush did to justify invading Iraq is nothing new, you Brits have a long history of ' fair play' and 'sportsmanship'. You can't help it. it's in your genes.
