Gary and I were talking about my blue-tongued skinks' age this morning, 5 or
6 for the youngster and 10+ for grandma, then I went to take out their dirtyfood dish later, and my old female was curled up in a weird position in the corner about half covered with substrate. It smelled bad in there, and she looked so weird that I thought, oh my God, she's dead! I thumped her lightly on the back and sure enough, no movement. I went cursing and blubbering to the closet and got a bag to put her in, went back to pick her up, and when I grabbed her by the tail she jumped and HISSED at me!! Scared the hell out of me, but boy was I relieved! Darn thing sleeps as heavily as my daughter, can't wake HER up without an act of God either.. )

I don't know, but I doubt it. They're big, sturdy lizards.
