In that case, I should show you my favoritest Bully dog (Am Staff, not APBT) around here. http://odnarb.com/grant.html Aimee doesn't know it, but I'm hatching a plot to dognap him. Suja

i so totally have a crush on grant.

isn't he *the* most amazing specimen of bulliness?

Grant has been reading this thread over my shoulder, and his head has swollen to Gangsta Pit sized proportions.

Ahem. cf: Matt. Rocky's a Dog.

Here are some ears for you. Grant's littermate - pre-crop...

To standard or not, whatta shame to cut those bootiful sticky-uppy suckers! (Are they all so satisfyingly sail-like? If so, I've suddenly become anti-crop...)

I absolutely HATE full *** ears on an APBT or AmStaf. Give me full drop, half ***, or proper rose, but no full ***!

It's not THAT common. Probably more than anyone thinks, as the breed is routinely cropped.
Here he is as a cropped grown up...

Okay, I see where the fully extended parasailing equipment might compromise his handsomeness in full maturity. I tried to envision those ears on the mature dog, and it was a somewhat incongruous picture. Laughably so, in fact. Still, there's a not-so-secret place in my heart for radar ears even if they make the pup a laughingstock.
(He's a mighty gorgeous fella, nearly as wonderful as his brother.)

Is this a cattle trial person? Cattle trials can be very different from
sheepdog trials (not always, but they can be) and the culture is a little
bit different. They are often arena trials held in conjunction with some
sort of fair or event, and a lot of them seem to be modeled after cutting
horse/Quarter Horse competitions with prize money and fanfare.

Nope, sheep person, in fact calls himself a "sheepdogger." If I hadn't meet other working and trialing border collie people this person's posts would totally turn me off of sheepdog trials. You can email me privately if you want to know who this is.
The Quarter horse comment is too odd. I've always enjoyed sheepdog trials and cutting horse competitions in the same fashion.

rotts can do almost as much damage as a pit bull can. but if you wiped out all the scary looking dogs such as the Pit bull, Akita, Rott, GSD, and the rest. the bad/crazy/stupid owners are going to just pick a new breed.
