Is funny. You notice its all the women* that are suggesting he rush the puppy to the vet? More than ... to find a vet *on Labor Day, which will be even more difficult than finding one today, I would think.

Amen.
I was going to say the same thing, but held back. My example was my DH, who has just had problems with kidney stones. His urologist is just as sympathetic as all get out because he sees men every day who are in hideous pain.
I can't really imagine what he's going through, but I CAN understand, in a limited way, what his pain must be like because I've had UTIs. It is painful. But I don't think it's as bad as kidney stones.

And when he had this last problem, knowing how difficult it is for him, I had him at the hospital before he knew what was happening and was on the phone with his doctor by 6:15 a.m.
In our vet's office, the doctors have become sensitized because
1) there are women vets and
2) women patients haven't been shy in discussing their experiences and
3) those women have strongly suggested that those men talk with their wives.
Either way all three told me the same thing, which was unless she showed signs of discomfort or blood in her urine wait for the results, if either of the two occurred to bring her in immidietly which i will do should that come up.

The conversation has escalated because of experience, both human and canine.

You did the right thing and that's great.
You'll find out what's going on soon.
I'm 99% sure that everything's going to be just fine and look forward to hearing about it.

Did I misunderstand?

Matt. Rocky's a Dog.
So i got the tests results back and low and behold there is NOTHING wrong with her. It turns out she's a small puppy and has a small bladder and likes to pee often. Am i still cruel for not taking her to the emergency vet? She never once exhibited any signs of pain, lathargy, or discomfort, which is why i did not bring her to the emergency vet, i did what i could and it seems that was more then enough.

I'm glad it turned out well for your puppy.
If it had been me, and I had witnessed the symptoms you described, I would have taken her to the emergency vet. In the future, I will continue to urge ruling out a UTI whenever similar symptoms are described.

i understand, i just came her looking for advice on what it MIGHT be and everyone starts going off on me about how cruel i'm being, i'm the one who witnessed what she was doing not any of you guys, there is no need for me to be insulted the way i was, and as it turns out my instinct that she was fine turned out to be correct!

Which you were given. You may not have liked it, but you don't get to dictate what people post here. If you don't like the advice, you are welcome to go somewhere else.

no need to get snippy, all i'm saying is it got a little out of hand, it seems like some people here who have little or no medical training like to tell people what to do even though it goes against the word of three doctors, then when said person doesn't follow advice those people insult him and accuse him of lying. Lesson learned trust vet you know has a good rep over kooks on the internet you don't know from a hole in the wall!
