I was wondering what, if any, variations of loaf position there are. Kami has often sat "sphinx" with her arms stretched out and paws crossed, but she's sitting like that more often, and most fo the time with her elbows in a little closer. She does curl up in her teepee and in the donut, so it's not like she's completely uncomfy. I'm wondering if it's just a better way to stay warm when she's not in one of her designated sleeping spots or if she's trying to crash.

BTW, she barfed today with no good reason after being fussy about eating the last day and a half. After Pepcid and a nap, she ate her dinner.

Is her head drooping? If so, get her to the vet; it's a common sign of hypokalemia.

Nope, she just watches me and looks around. Was mesmerized by the lava lamp. I think she's just sitting that way because she wants to, but it just happens to be more frequent in the last few months.

One of my cats has been in the meatloaf position more frequently lately (front legs tucked under to the point where you can't see them, true meatloaf position), but he's fine. Hope so w/ Kami, too.

Kami always has her arms out and wrists crossed. Such a princess. Spoiled to the core. Emotion: smile You may despise me due to the declaw issue, but you'd be hard pressed to claim that she doesn't get the best food, the best love, and the best vet care a ridiculously sexy and sometimes rotten kitty can get. Emotion: wink
