Is it possible to train a dog to "go" in one area of the yard? How do you go about teaching them to do this?
We're moving to a new house with a big yard and I don't want to have to look everywhere everyday.
Thanks.

Use a leash and take the dog out at scheduled intervals, to the section of yard you want the dog to use, give a potty command and praise when the dog does what you ask. Walk around in circles if needed to kill time and, if you are accustomed to giving your dog treats, give a treat when you praise...before going back in the house.

Is it possible to train a dog to "go" in ... and I don't want to have to look everywhere everyday.

I had a slightly different approach, no pile - no walk! (walking around in circles until done ... then go for a walk). That worked very well. After moving from USA back to Germany (doggy was one year old) I needed about 2-3 days to tell my dog where the peeing corner is and where the pile corner is.
Just give "the doing" a name and tell the dog "go pee" / "go pile" or in german "geh pinkeln" / "geh kackeln" :-).
Give it a name and it works.
Btw. my dog loves to have a cleaned bathroom ... so, if we don't clean it, she is going to avoid that bathroom corner and goes somewhere else ;-).
