Today there was a little reptile market at the bar of a friend, more a show-and-exchange, and of course I've been there. We brought a small viv for tarantulas, a millepede (the one I posted about some weeks ago), some shedded skins from snakes and our three sandstone geckos. All sold! I also wrote care sheets for the geckos and the millepede, to make sure their new owners care well for them. I hoped to sell the corn hatchlings too, but as long as they don't eat on their own I'll keep them.
Anyway, we made good deals. Of course it was impossible to come home without anything, I got a beautiful Crimson corn hatchling (male), white and orange, sooo sweeet! I put him in the tank of my butter corn (female) an while he started to explore the new environment, the little female who was sleeping on top of a branch took the head out of the coils and watched him. After 10 minutes of crawling around he climbed on the branch too and spotted the female.
They eyed each other, tongue flicking, got nearer, tongue flicking, nearer, flicking, nearer, flicking. When their tongues touched each other, they stopped flicking, got nearer and then nose touched nose, it seemd as if they were kissing each other! They stood still fore a while nose to nose, then the male flicked on the femalse neck and she on his and then they turned back nose to nose. It was so sweet!!! I think my little female has found her soul mate Emotion: smile

They moved slowly to the side of the vivarium where they would be engulfed in warmth by the undertank heater.
Bodies entwined, his spur gently moved up and down on her smooth ventral scales. Tongues flicking, flicking.
Her hemepenes where enlarged, and protruding from the cloacal opening like a rose, as if to say "take me".

Aaargh, how can you dirty the innocence of two few months old hatchlings?!

P.S.: Females don't have hemipenes. Corns have no spurs.
