i don't know how many of you will remember me, as i used to be ~95% lurker, but i am happy to write that i am finally back to perusing r.p.h. it is nice to see that alot of the posters/personalities (zete, wade, cindy, fr0glet, chad, roger, gloria, grainne, luke, frogz13) i had grown to know are still here. i hope to see a few more of the regulars show up. since i last posted, i have added one critter to my menagerie, a ringneck snake.

i have settled into my new job and my new humble abode. ahh, its nice to be back. missed this place!

Glad to see you back!!! Hope you stick around. Your snake, is it an eastern? I love those, one of the first snakes I ever had experiences with when I was a kid.

I might have you confused with someone else. New job where?
Welcome back! We are awaiting the third hurricane this season in as many weeks! Haul the igs out, haul the igs in, haul the tortoise out, haul the tortoise in, oy!

gloria - only the iguanas know for sure

Yea, I think you do. My new job is in Mississippi with the National Wildlife Research Center. I moved from Louisiana.

Gloria, I hear* you. I was living in Baton Rouge, LA, and I am thinking that Ivan will be skipping FL and heading that way. Glad I am *up north (relatively speaking - heh) now that I have moved about 4 hrs further from the coast. Ivan is looking rather ominous...
What kind of tortoise?

Yes, it is an eastern. When I get a decent picture of it, I will share.

How's that frog exhibit??

I would love to see a picture of it. Do you get to see him often or does he burrow too much?
Doing well. It has turned out to be one of the most sucessful exhibits the museum has ever had in it's 40+ years, so I reckon that means two things. The Board Members are happy with me, and I get to open a Reptile Exhibit January 2005! Going to Jacksonville this Saturday to start purchasing critters! How fun! I am thinking an Invertebrate Exhibit for 2006 will be in order!
