Perhaps it has... but I really
hesitate to get too optimistic...
nevertheless...
Before her near-fatal 'episode'
on Sunday, she would normally
eat about ½ teaspoon of wet
food at any given time, and a she
would eat on her own only about
three times a day. I was given to
force feed her about 3-4 mL of
a/d diet food, and 3-4 mL of
Pedolyte in between her normal
feedings.
Now, (starting yesterday) she's
eating every two - three hours
or so, and eats a heaping
tablespoon-full each time. She
has taken to jumping up on my
lap whenever she wants wet
food, now. She visits the water
bowl regularly and occasionally
'grazes' in the dry-food bowls.
Her stool has gone from a
puddle to a defined lump. She
washes herself, scratches on
the scratching post, and hangs
around the others. And - though
she's not yet as energetic as
before she started losing weight -
has climbed up on the 'cat tree'
several times now...
Is this miraculous, or what...?

Thank you Karen, My Appointment at the Vet's was at ... bowl frequently. Her stool is still a bit runny though.

Aren't runny stools the best?? Been dealing with them myself! Emotion: smile

I called the Vet at 2 PM and after telling ... the trip, especially when considering her ordeal over the weekend.

That may be a very good idea. I know my Audrey freakswhen she has to get in the car to go to the vet. Keep us posted! Emotion: smile

Rhuni makes a bigger fuss over
being put in the carrier than all
the rest of 'em combined.
Thanks to you and everyone
here for caring...

Great news Ollie! I'm so glad to be reading this instead of what I feared. Please know I am in your same shoes because it is so hard to know when it is "time". Just when I think Shadow has had enough he is better the next day. That is what I'm doing now, taking it a day at a time with him. He has bad days and good days. Give her lots of love and affection while she is here. YAY! Emotion: smile

Hi Cheryl,
Oh, Rhuni gets plenty of lovin' for sure.
My Vet also said there will be good
days and bad, though he said the
same about Butchie, who now weighs
in at 18½ lbs, and hasn't had a bad
day in a year and a half.
Rhuni loves Butchie... its so cute to
see them cuddled up, or licking
faces... imagine petite little 5 lb Rhuni
and behemoth Butchie together... Emotion: smile
Tell Shadow I said to hang in there...
I'm rootin' for him to make a full
recovery. Purrs to Bonnie and
Shamrock as well... I hope they're
both fine.

I wonder if she had an obstruction that she passed? If not, still, it is good for her to be happy for now.
