Yes, it is caused by the crate, because the only time it occurs is when the dog is crated.

I'm not challenging your expertise either, but if the crate was once used successfully and is later not, how is the crate the problem?

I thought you had posted to the effect that if dogs don't tolerate crating or have anxiety while crated, it's probably because they weren't introduced to the crate properly. I'm saying that I doubt that's the case in dogs that have been crated for years and suddenly don't tolerate it.

I've gone back through the thread and don't see that, though it's certainly something I could have said because I believe it to be true, though instead of "probably", I probably would have said "there's a chance."

Not destructive - that they mention, but one that gets extremely upset and messes when left in her crate.
