We have a green iguana. Female I believe. Today she has become very lethargic, just lays there, body shaking somewhat. Refuses to eat or drink. Has anybody seen behavior such as this before? Could she possibly be gravid and having trouble laying the eggs?? Should she make it through the night, a visit to the vet is in order, but I just wanted some opinions on what could be wrong, what we can do. Thanks all.

do you provide uvb lights to this lizard?

Thanks for replying York.
I'm not sure exactly what lights are available for our iggys. There are two lights, one red for heat, and one that I believe is full spectrum. Appears to be white light but with an almost blue tint to it. The wife and daughter know more about this than I.
As an update, shortly after I posted originally, the wife found an after hours vet who works with iguanas. She took her in and the doc says her calcium was extremely low. Gave her a shot or dose of calcium and a bottle of calcium liquid to be given twice a day. She seems to have come around and is doing much better.

Does she have it completely dark at night or do you leave the red light bulb switched on? If yes, change it and put in a ceramic heat emitter.
